The Teen Turbans was a group of Los Angeles middle and high school locals, the group was actually called "The Turbans and the female counterpart to the group was "The Turbelettes" which is actually who recorded "We Need To Be Loved". In the 60's Los Angeles Television KHJ would have a battle of the bands every year, I believe it was 1966 and we won all new instruments and a recording contract with Warner Bros/ Loma Records.
