Takaru was a political hardcore band from the San Francisco area of California. The band was know for heavy and ferocious hardcore coupled with a sharp intellect. Their name was taken from the Kurt Vonegut book, “Player Piano”. It's the Brahtpurian word for “slave”. The band members were at first Seth Robert Baab (
Funeral Diner), Duwayne Andersen (
Ruhaeda), Sean Andrews (
A Days Refrain,
Tasharah), Joshua Stein (
