Formed in 2001, The Captains [ザ・キャプテンズ] members are Kizuhiko , Jackie , Ted , Kei [Keyboards}, and Yosuke . They play GS or "Group Sounds" style music which was inspired by late 1960's British Rock and Roll bands like The Beatles or The Who. A parallel scene which emulated the British bands developed in Japan around the same time and became incredibly popular.
