Svain was a locally very influential band, formed in early 2000s in Hlinsko, Czech Republic. It performed only for a few years, but was able to create many compositions, some of them hours long. Their style can be described as neo art rock, a name suggested by the band's frontman Rudolf Pospíšil. But some of their fans named it "Pink Floyd multiplied by 10", referring to the excessive length of the band's compositions.
