Stomu Yamash'ta is a Japanese musician and composer who studied at the Berklee school of music, led a group of 35 actors, dancers and musicians (the Red Buddha Theatre) around Europe for some years, composed the soundtrack to The Man Who Fell To Earth, and briefly retired to a Buddhist temple in Kyoto in 1980.
