Sticky Joe was born in Southend-on-sea, Essex in the late 1980’s. Raised with the a heavy personal influence from Ocean Colour Scene and Echo Base drummer/singer Oscar Harrison, Sticky began playing drums at the age of 9years old. At the age of 15 Sticky began to promote and organize his own nights across Essex and London. After years of development on the London scene as a drummer playing in venues such as The Garage, The St Moritz Club and Brixton Jamm, Sticky turned his attentions to playing 5-string American Banjo in 2006.
