Stellar Tuesday is a New York based rock/powerpop/punk band formed in the early 2000s. The band was founded by Eric Hauptman, a mountain biker from Ulster County, U.S. He headed to Manhattan and became a jazz guitar performance major at New York University, graduating in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in music. Stellar Tuesday began performing in 2002 and self-released a five-song EP in May 2003.
