Stan Satin began his musical interests at the tender age of two, surprising his mother by whistling original tunes all day. In the 5th grade, Stan took up the alto saxophone and continued playing throughout school in the concert, jazz and marching bands. Inspired by the DIY attitude of the late seventies new wave, Stan formed the legendary art punk band Vietnam with guitarist Drew Davidson and keyboardist Sue Garner in January 1980.
