Sonny Donald was born in the Bamenda, north western Cameroon. Sonny Donald started his music career by singing and playing guitar in the church. He later created his first band with his friends called MD Victory, which was an Afro funk and reggae band. After his studies at the university of Cameroon, he decided to travel to Europe to continue with his music career, which was always his dream. He came to Gottingen a small university town in Germany were he continued his music career by creating a group called Kamezuela, a fusion of African and Latin American music from Venezuela.
