Since forming in early 2017, North Carolinian quintet Slumberwave has cultivated an energetic and exploratory style of instrumental rock in the same vein as Caspian, Russian Circles and Mogwai. The Port City post-rock collective was founded by bassist Jason Williams, guitarists Jarrod Cox and Jesse Ray, and drummer Ken Hardy later being joined by keyboardist Judson Hurd.
