Pianist, composer and improviser born in Sept-Îles (Québec) in 1980, Simon Lapointe studied jazz with pianist Lorraine Desmarais (diploma in jazz piano obtained in 1998) as well as composition with Denis Gougeon (degree in composition obtained in 2003).
