Silent Rivers is a heavy metal band from Hveragerði, Iceland. History Founded in 2004 by Ari Harðarson (guitar) and Víðir "Mýrmann" Þrastarson, it started out as a soft rock band that was mainly influenced by the band Pink Floyd. They contacted Árni Þráinsson to play bass in the band, since they knew him quite well after having worked with him in a pizzeria plus Ari had played with him in an Iron Maiden cover band.
