Secular Theme was a Kansas City, MO, based melodic rock band in the early-mid 90s. Their only released songs were contained on a split 7" with Boys Life in 1994, and the 'Kansas City Misery' CD compilation in 1995. Soon after parting ways, frontman Matt Pryor used the Secular Theme song title "Suburban Get Up Kids" to name his next band.
