He is best known as the founder member of Irish band Microdisney, his early 1990s stint in Stereolab and his central role as founder, musical leader and vocalist of his band The High Llamas. O'Hagan was born in Luton, England, to Irish parents. He moved to Cork, Ireland, in his early teens.
