Scott Engel aka Scott Walker (Noel Scott Engel, Hamilton, Ohio, USA, 9 January 1943 - 22 March 2019) was an American born British singer-songwriter, musician and record producer. Marketed as a teen heartthrob, Engel recorded several pop and rock & roll singles from 1957 to 1962, before meeting John Walker, with whom he would eventually form The Walker Brothers under his more popular stage name. Walker was known for his distinctive baritone voice and an unorthodox career path which took him from 1960s teen pop icon to 21st-century avant-garde musician.
