SARAX is an experimental/progressive rock band born in Santiago, Chile. It was originally formed as a trio in 1995 by bassist Demetrio Cifuentes, who was later joined by Marcelo Larenas on guitar and Juan Pablo Velasco on drums and keyboards. SARAX became a quartet with the incorporation of lifelong friend and collaborator Nicolás Figueroa as an official member during the writing sessions for "570.Kyhtera", the band's third album.
