Ryan Suzuka (born in Honolulu, HI on June 18, 1982) is a Chicago based singer songwriter. His first instrument was a harmonica which he received for his 15th birthday. Upon moving to Chicago in the Fall of 2000 he started dabbling in ukulele. Although his songs are written for and performed with his six string tenor ukulele, his songs are often dark and melancholy in content. His vocals are the main factor unifying his music which can range from a guttural howl to a haunting, bittersweet falsetto within the same song.
