The Stuff began in 2002 as Ryan parted ways with his first band, The Mudds. In the Mudds Ryan developed his intense stage presence and baritone voice playing in dive bars and at underground parties at the infamous Mower Shack. The original line-up were Ryan Mudd-Vocals, Grant Jones-Guitar, Fabiano Carpinelli- Bass, Adam James-Drums Ryan Mudd and The Stuff quickly recorded a solid e.p. that got some good reviews and even sold a few copies.
