Royal Downfall was formed in Umeå, Sweden, in September 2002. The band plays indie rock with a touch of post-punk, barbed wire guitars, whirlwind drums and social critique. Their debut album, 8-16, was released by the Swedish record label Planekonomi in September 2003. Since December 2003 you can also download the entire album for free from the band's official web site: www.royaldownfall.org.
