Rorquals began life as a project exploring depths of heavy drone music with the use of amplified distortion and a Travis Bean. Fascination rapidly turned into obsession and so a passion for music created in the moment was formed, not so much improvised, rather formed as a reaction to what came before it. The ideas of drone, ambient and minimal music then extended and evolved incorporating elements of melody with organ and electronics. Rorquals is gradually finding its own voice.
