Born in Madagascar to a family of Comoran origin, he immigrated in 1985 to France living in Vitry-sur-Seine, in south suburbs of Paris. His stage name Rohff (French pronunciation: ​) stands for "Rimeur Original Hardcore Flow Fluide".
