Born 1949, Roger Digby started playing the Anglo Concertina in the early 1970s and was a vigorous contributor to the English Country Music movement - a reawakening of interest and knowledge of rural English Dance music which had been neglected almost to extinction by the Folk Movement. He formed Flowers and Frolics in 1975 with Dan Quinn and Mike Bettison (melodeons), Bob King (banjo), Ted Stevens (washboard), Alex West (tuba).
