Born in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, USA, Ritchie Adams was an original member of The Fireflies, a 1950s doo-wop vocal group. Adams went on to release some solo singles and had a successful songwriting career, including the hits "Tossin' and Turnin'" and "After the Lovin'".
