Rektum, allegedly, came from East Germany. When the Berlin Wall was coming down in 1989 and the Eastern Block borders began opening up, Rektum crossed through Hungary and made it to Bristol, England. Rektum were a highly sought after political Eastern Block punk group which successfully escaped their system. The press reports in the magazines Independent, NME, Sounds and Melody Maker were coming out thick and thin. Still gaining exceptional coverage.
