Reform was a German rock band from Magdeburg that was active from 1975 to 1986. The GDR Amiga label released three of the band's LPs. The band's name is a tribute to the Magdeburg district reform and symbolizes the band's efforts to "new sounds" in rock music. In 1975, guitarist Jörg Matze Blankenburg, who came from the Klosterbrüder group, founded Reform with Mike Demnitz (bass), Peter Piele (drums), Werner Kunze (guitar, keyboard) and Frank Schönfeld (vocal, flute, alto saxophone).
