Randy was born on September 11, 1928 to an Italian father Giuseppe Scicarlo (1908-1961) and a French mother Etiénné Canlos (1908-2008) . Hughes grew up in Nashville, Tennessee where he was born reportedly know as "The Rich Childhoody" as his family were rich during his childhood.
