Vicente Ramón Ramos Villanueva was born in 1954 in Alginet, studied cello and piano at the Conservatory of Valencia. In 1972 he left for Germany, in 1975 he joined Dusseldorf at the Robert Schumann Institute for composition and live electronic courses with Günther Becker. In 1980 he was a fellow in the course of Darmstadt and works with Brian Ferneyhough, Gerard Grisey and Wolfgang Rhim. During 78 and 79, in Witten, he attended courses by Mauricio Kagel, György Kurtag and György Ligeti.
