"Esenta de Nai" ("Pan Flute Essence") is Radu Nechifor's 2007 debut album. The disc contains a collection of Romanian folk songs performed by Nechifor on pan flute, accompanied by an ensemble of some of Romania's best folklore players. Nechifor is a young Romanian pan flute player and manufacturer, former student of pan flute Maestro Gheorghe Zamfir, and apprentice of pan flute builder Joeri Murk. Radu Nechifor is a young Romanian pan flute player and builder, former apprentice of Gheorghe Zamfir. He has launched his debut album "Esenta de Nai" ("Panflute Essence") in 2007, on which he plays Romanian folklore, accompanied by some of the best known Romanian folklore instrumentists. Under the guidance of renown pan flute builder Joeri Murk, Nechifor learned to build pan flutes and opened an instrument workshop next to his home in Cisnadie, Sibiu county.
