Ryan Squared (R^2) was a band from Garden Grove, CA consisting of two friends (both named Ryan). The band formed as the result of a songwriting session that resulted in songs far too different from their previous work in Anything for the Music. The song resulting from that session, "Babylon" shared several characteristics with death metal. The resulting project idea, "Two Faced: Life and Death," was planned to be a double disc album consisting of one metal influenced disc, and one pop influenced disc.
