Formado em 1966, este grupo instrumental paulistano foi criado originalmente com o nome de Trio Novo, composto pór Théo de Barros (contrabaixo e violão), Heraldo do Monte (viola e guitarra) e Airto Moreira (bateria). Seu objetivo inicial era o de acompanhar o cantor e compositor Geraldo Vandré, durante uma série de shows da emprsa Rhodia. Com a classificação de “Disparada” (Vandré/ Théo) no II Festival de Música Popular Brasileira, da TV Record (SP), o Trio Novo teve sua formação alterada para acompanhar Jair Rodrigues, que defendia a música naquele festival, por razões contratuais.… read more
