Private School was a Canadian punk band from Vancouver, British Columbia. The band formed in 1977 originally as an Art School band and it had a few rotating members including Tony Bardach on bass (Pointed Sticks) and Reed Urchuck on keyboard (Exxotone, the Shades, Obelinskis). Finally settled on the above lineup and played most of the Rock Against (Prisons, Nuclear Arms, etc) as well as New Wave showcases with D.O.A., Pointed Sticks, Subhumans, Dishrags, etc. Opened for The Police’s first North American tour in 1979.
