Brown Album (also known as The Brown Album) is an album by alternative rock band Primus. It was released on July 8, 1997. It was the first Primus release to not feature drummer Tim Alexander and the first to feature Bryan "Brain" Mantia on drums. "Shake Hands with Beef" and "Over the Falls" were the only two singles from this album. Both were given music videos, released respectively.

Primus is a San Francisco-based alternative rock band formed in the mid-1980s by bassist Les Claypool and guitarist Todd Huth. Les (vocals and bass guitar) has been the only constant member.
