In 1997, at a rehearsal room in the Buenos Aires neighbourhood of La Paternal, drummer Alejandro Olmedo, bass player El Muerto, and guitar players Adrian Sanchez and Diego Bava got jamming together. At the beginning of 1998 Alejandro Amaro joined in. They were called Gran Hampa. A few gigs later, Alejandro Amaro left and Diego Bava fronts the band.
