Maranatha! Music is a Christian music record label founded in 1971 as a non-profit ministry of Calvary Chapel. Some of the early Maranatha! Music, in the Jesus Movement era, were groups and artists such as Sweet Comfort Band, Love Song, Chuck Girard, Children of the Day, The Way etc. In addition to the pop rock artists, there was the Praise Strings series, worship songs in a classical style. The Praise Strings series includes the most popular albums in the history of Maranatha! music. The music on these classic albums spans denominational boundaries.
