Popturtle is an electronic pop project formed in 2021 by Reggie Adkins. Reggie's childhood consisted of running a few small YouTube channels from 2013 to 2017, starting again in 2020 with mashups and memes. In late 2020, Reggie was inspired by Lemon Demon and r u s s e l b u c k to make music, releasing Instrumental EP and debut album PT Jams in 2021. In 2022, his sophomore effort Koopa released, followed by his third album ɾ in the spring of 2023. Later influences include AJR, Drive45, tv room, and Polite Fiction.
