In 2006, E. Robert Frank was having difficulty finishing and releasing an album, mainly due to the vast array of software toys that were stealing his focus. In an effort to keep distractions to a minimum, he resolved to write an record an album using only one keyboard: The Casio VL-TONE (VL1), a keyboard made most famous by its appearance in the Trio song "Da Da Da".
