Pill Zombie (now Phonics) was created by guitarist Ryan Barton and drummer Nick Inco (originally keyboards) of the band Tales of Paul Bunyan after it's disbanding in the fall of 2009. during a shaky period of trying to accommodate finding a new drummer, nick began intensely focusing on his drumming practice, which came about by a TOPB fill in trying out for drums and leaving them set up in nicks room.
