Biography

The only funky white boy of his kind to hail from the great state of Wyoming, Philip Clark was born with Rhythm & Blues in his blood. A natural child performer, he was writing songs and rocking regularly in his uncle Milt's trio by the time he was fourteen years old. Blessed with perfect pitch and a passion for his craft, Philip continued to hone his aural talents with a formal degree in music and thereafter in some of the best venues and studios in Wyoming and Colorado.

Eventually, Clark relocated to New York City, becoming a session musician, engineer and producer. In 2001, Philip released his debut, "The State of Blue-Eyed Soul," which held Top-10 positions on several mainstrem, internet and satellite radio charts – acquiring millions of streams. Philip Clark’s name can also be found on a wide range of projects – from full-length albums, EP's and demos to audio books, commercial jingles, and podcasts. Philip's roster includes: Zulu Nation, Amy Ward, Brooklyn Funk Essentials, Repercussions, Afrikka Bambatta, Rick Kelly, Christopher North, Michael Ashanti, Chris Woodward, Jefferson Thomas, and Groove Collective. Philip Clark has also shared the stage with the Godfather of Soul himself, Mr. James Brown, and is a two-time winner of "Amateur Night at the Apollo." Clark now lives in Los Angeles and is currently producing his sophomore effort, “Dreamchilde.”
