It was first recorded in 1979 and reached number 2 in the UK singles chart the following year. As well as being a karaoke favourite, it has since been released by other artists on two occasions - by N-Trance in 1997 (reaching number 11) and by Chico Slimani in 2006 (reaching number 24).
