Orango was formed in Oslo in 1999 by three friends with a shared passion for classic rock, three-part vocals, and hand-crafted music. The founding members were Helge Bredeli Kanck (guitar/vocals), Trond Slåke (drums/vocals), and Karl-Joakim Wisløff (bass/vocals), who knew each other through family and military connections.
