One Life, much like the phoenix, was born from brimstone and fire – a fire that burned brightly between 3 local Chicago bands (Close Enough, Morning Side Drive, and Backdrop). Continuously losing members, its life was almost impossible to sustain. One Life quickly turned to ash after only 2 years time. But in this span, it spawned a new generation of musicians.
