Oana Cătălina Chiţu is an East European Tango singer, from Humulesti, Romania. Her voice is somewhere between Marlene Dietrich and Édith Piaf. Between 1998 and 2003, she studied classical singing with the opera singer Verena Rein. In 2000, she founded the Balcan band Romença, together with Dejan Jovanovic. Numerous performances with Romença in Berlin and tours through Germany, Austria, Serbia and Romania followed.
