Niggy Tardust is the alter-ego created by the artist Saul Williams for the the 2007-album "The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of NiggyTardust!". The title is a direct nod at David Bowie's album "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars" which was released in 1972. And as David Bowie created the pompous and glam-rock character Ziggy Stardust, and acted as this persona on the album and the following tour, it stands clear that Saul Williams has done the same with his album.
