Three peaches is a song dedicated to Jeff mangum’s girlfriend at the time, Jennifer who attempted a suicide attempt at a party they both attended. The frequent christmas and holiday motifs repeated through the song is linked to the fact the party took part around christmas. She ended up surviving and Jeff wrote this song in remembrance of the incident. Jennifer would later end her life 9 years after this song in 2005 as she had struggled with mental health for many years of her life. Jeff has stated that she is not linked to the song “Jennifer”.
