Nectarine were from Chicago and released one album, Sterling Beat, in 1994 on Grass Records. They also had many 7"s and compilation appearances. They toured with Silkworm, the Wrens, Edsel, Red Red Meat, Built to Spill, Jessamine and many others. They recorded a 2nd album, the much fabled "White Light/White Heat" which caused them to not only be dropped by their label, but also break up.
