Nanae Yoshimura (
吉村七重) is a famous Japanese
koto (Japanese harp) player. From her childhood Nanae Yoshimura was tought by her teachers
Yoshimura Soho (Nanae`s mother),
Nasaka Soju and
Nosaka Keiko. Nanae Yoshimura got her licence to be a teacher when she was 16 years old, when she was studying at Ikuta school. In 1971 she tried playing
nijugen (20 string koto), searching for new ways to express her playing. Yoshimura worked with famous directors, such as
