Biography
myfirstradio is a four piece from the east midlands consisting of Ross Clark (vocals, guitar, keys), Dale Curtis (guitar), Simon Ash (bass) and Kev Clark (drums, percussion, vocals).
They formed in late 2002 off the back of a number of musical projects which had seen all four of them working together but never in the same band at the same time.
This line-up came about after the Clark brothers decided the electronic music they were making at the time would sound better played on guitars.
The band's sound then evolved through several phases, at times incorporating pedal punk sounds, sometimes orchestral strings arrangements and always delay/reverb saturated, post-rock guitars.
In mid 2008 they released the single Progress via God Is In The TV's* highly regarded Singles Club, along with the fuzzy shoegazing b-side My Secret Plan, and later that year they released Youthful Things on Series 8 Records.
