Originally known as The Anglians, The Moving Finger were a Norwich-based band who had a career on the mod club circuit in London during the mid to late sixties. Besides releasing squawking cover versions of tracks such as "Shake and Finger Pop", they recorded some effective pop-psychedelic numbers towards the end of their career, of which "Pain of my Misfortune" is an especially good (and especially rare) example. It sometimes changes hands for hundreds of pounds on ebay. Little is known about the history of the band members or where they are now.
