Professor Milan Zelenka is a graduate of the Prague Conservatory and today belongs among the most important concert guitarists in the Czech Republic. Gold medal successes in competitions in Moscow (1957) and Vienna (1959) opened the door to the world stage, and he has since had tours not only in Europe and Asia but also Japan and the USA. Zelenka is professor at both the Academy of Performing Arts and the Prague Conservatory. He has educated a whole generation of young guitarists, some of who show promise as concert performers.
