Miki N'Doye came from Gambia in Western Africa to Norway in 1976. He was the first to incorporate music from his Wolof roots, Jolla and Mandingo rhythms, with jazz in Norway, founding the bands E'olen, Sabba and Tamma. He has been a «primus motor» for World music in Norway for allmost 30 years. He has toured extensively throughout Scandinavia since, collaborating with among others: Don Cherry, Ed Blackwell, Jon Balke, Erik Balke, Kari Bremnes, Bugge Wesseltoft.
